The Puppeteer

Call For Price

Beschreibung

This work is part of the ongoing series The Anatomy of Control, exploring control not as power, but as a psychological response to vulnerability.

At first glance, the figure appears to control invisible marionette strings. A closer look reveals a subtle contradiction: the strings already begin to entangle the puppeteer himself.

Control is presented as an illusion of safety. The more tightly we attempt to direct the world around us, the more we become connected to the very mechanisms we seek to command.

The restrained palette and quiet gestures encourage prolonged observation, allowing the hidden structure of the composition to unfold gradually.

The painting ultimately asks:

At what point does the one who controls become controlled?
